 The Spotlight behind the Spotlights! Meet the heart behind our screen.

I adore Layne Lemmings!  You may have wondered who the face behind our fantastic website and social media may be? May I introduce to you my faithful friend and partner in crime….Layne Lemmings!

Layne joined Tocal over a year ago. She has quickly become a force to be reckoned with in all areas. She runs our e-newsletters, online Spotlight Articles, and our website advertising.  She inspires us with her creativity and humor everyday!

I have known Layne personally since she was in high school. She was a babysitter for my 3 children.  It’s a full circle moment for me. She is great fun and highly creative.  She has a heart for people and doing the right thing.  Layne is not afraid to try and learn new things.  She is a perfect fit for us!

Layne married her husband, Jake, on Jekyll Island in 2015.  They met as camp counselors in Toccoa, GA in college and returned to the Golden Isles as full time residents in 2018.  They have 2 precious baby girls, Daisy, (3) and Ellis, (1). On any given afternoon, their family can be found walking, riding bikes, or watching the Atlanta Braves. 

When asked about his wife, Jake says, “Layne is the most amazing mother and wife. She’s kind, thoughtful, loving, hardworking, creative, Christ-Centered, and a great cook!”   

Layne’s mother, Denise Willis, praises her in many ways., “Layne is a FABULOUS cook!  She was put on this planet to be a mom and she’s the BEST.  Layne has no qualms about expressing what she feels is wrong and standing up for what is right. I’m her biggest fan.”

Katie Fendig Tindol speaks lovingly of her best friend, “When I think of Layne, I think of the most kind-hearted, giving, and funniest person I know. I love her dearly. She’s a trailblazer and has such a beautiful way of seeing things. I love how encouraging and wise she is. She always has a unique way to communicate God’s love. I feel like home around her; comfortable and accepted.” 

As you can see from those who know Layne best, she is a perfect fit for our Tocal family.  She cares about our people, our magazine, and most importantly our community.  We are so thankful for Layne on the Tocal Team!!
