Spring/Summer in the golden isles
Warm weather and sunshine are upon us here in the Golden Isles. We are ecstatic and thankful to have a calendar full of events to enjoy this summer. This is good news for everyone because not only are these events fun to enjoy as a community, they also drive our economy and help the local merchants who host them. The Blessing of the Fleet Festival
Friday April 1st--Sunday, April 3rd at Mary Ross Waterfront Park.
This is the annual celebration that launches the Shrimp Fleet Season. There will be fresh seafood, fabulous other food, live music, fun and games for the kids, and a variety of activities for everyone. Attendance is free. For more information, call 912-437-6684.
Art in the Park Spring Festival
Saturday, April 2nd and Sunday, April 3rd from 10 am--5 pm at Postell Park in the Saint Simons Pier Village.
This is the largest Arts & Crafts show of the year, and features artists and craftsmen from the Southeast region selling their work in art, sculpture, photography, textiles, jewelry, ceramics, and other creations.
Music & Memories at Musgrove
Sunday, April 3rd from 4 pm -- 8 pm at the Musgrove Retreat & Conference Center, 5720 Frederica Road on St. Simons Island.
This is live music and a seated dinner to raise money for Alzheimer’s Research. For information, call 912-264-0777.
Coastal Symphony of Georgia Concert
Monday, April 11 at 8 pm in the Brunswick High School Auditorium.

Cassina Garden Club 16th Annual Garden Walk and Plant Sale
Saturday, April 30th from 10 am -- 4 pm.
This is a tour of the elegant private gardens of 8 home in 6 different Saint Simons Island neighborhoods. There is also a plant sale at Hamilton Plantation Cabins 1195 Arthur J. 4th of july celebrations
Saint Simons Island in the Pier Village
Starting at 9 am, a 5K and One Mile Run, an Arts & Crafts Show, live music, and fireworks at 9 pm.
Jekyll Island
At 9 am, a parade through the Historic District, at Jekyll Beach Village -- water slides, bounce houses, local vendors, live music, and fireworks at 9 pm.
Brunswick
At Mary Ross Waterfront Park there will be free watermelon, games for kids and adults, and fireworks at 9 pm.
Recurring events
First Friday in Downtown Brunswick
On the first Friday of every month, Downtown Brunswick will host an event from 5 pm -- 8 pm, where all the shops, galleries, and restaurants stay open late and serve wine and snacks. There will be live music in the Signature Squares, creating a festive atmosphere for shopping and dining. This is a great event for tourists and locals.
