It's wintertime in the Golden Isles! We may not have the snow covered scenes of a traditional winter, but we have cool and crisp weather, an ocean at our doorstep, and the gorgeous golden marsh colors this time of year. Thanksgiving Brunch at The King & Prince Hotel---Thursday, November 25th from 9:30 am - 3 pm. If you want to skip the laborious Thanksgiving Day meal prep and the even more cumbersome clean up, the Thanksgiving Brunch at the King & Prince Hotel is for you. With ocean side seating, savor the classic Thanksgiving flavors like turkey and dressing, roasted butternut squash bisque, carved beef ribeye steak, and chateaubriand with cabernet reduction. Be sure to save room for delicious desserts like cherries jubilee flambé and pumpkin cheesecake. This is one meal you don’t want to miss! For reservations, call 912-268-5967.
Brunswick Christmas Parade---Saturday, December 4th at 5:30 pm starting at Howard Coffin Park. This is a traditional Christmas Parade featuring decorative floats with holiday lighting, Christmas music, high school marching bands, and of course, Santa Claus. There’s no better way to get into the Christmas spirit!
Holly Jolly Jekyll---November 21st--January 2nd in the Jekyll Island Historic District. This is a holiday celebration that lasts the entire season. Among its many events are Light Tours on trolleys, a Christmas Light Parade on December 4th, and Fireworks on December 11th and 18th. Island Treasures---January 1st--February 28th on Jekyll Island. This is a two month long treasure hunt for the ultra-popular blown glass floats. These are stunning, handworked glass globes done by well-known artists from around the country. They can be bought in the Jekyll Island Welcome Center Gift Shop; however, during this event, if you find one of the strategically placed treasures hidden around the island, it's yours to keep. Brunswick Rockin’ Stewbilee---Saturday, January 29th from 9 am - 2 pm at Mary Ross Waterfront Park. This annual event was originally scheduled for October 2021 but is now being moved forward to this new date. Teams from all over compete in this popular Brunswick Stew cook-off. Recurring Events
First Friday in Downtown Brunswick--- On the first Friday of every month, downtown Brunswick
hosts an event from 5 pm - 8 pm, where all the shops, galleries, and restaurants stay open late and serve wine and snacks. These Fridays occur on 1/07, 2/04, and 3/04 for this winter. There will be live music in the Signature Squares, creating a festive atmosphere for shopping and dining. A great event for tourists and locals alike.
